Cultivating innovation, achievement and passion through a learner centered environment

Message From the Principal

Greetings Wildcat community,

Fruita Monument students and staff are involved in a wide variety of activities as we head into fall.  School Spirit is high as our students pour out to support our teams and show Fruita Pride.  Our goal is that every student will find a group where he or she can participate in positive experiences and give back to their school and community.  It is important to note that there is a high correlation with high achieving students and involvement in extracurricular activities such as Band, Art, Orchestra, Choir, Athletics, FFA, service clubs and many other organizations.  Encourage your child to find a club to get involved with or to be part of a team.  There is something purposeful for every student at Fruita Monument.  Check the FMHS website to see the more than thirty clubs available to students.

I am excited to welcome the community to our first drama productions for the school year. The FMHS Drama Club will be performing “A Doll’s House.” A Doll's House is a three-act play written by Norway's Henrik Ibsen. It premiered at the Royal Theatre in CopenhagenDenmark, on 21 December 1879. The play is set in a Norwegian town circa 1879. The play will run October 18, 19 at 7pm and Saturday, October 21 at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for students.

PNCI, Chamberlain Architects and The Blythe Group began construction on a parking lot just east of the gymnasium. This new parking lot will add 182 spaces and provide better access to the fields and gymnasiums for our students, staff and community. The project is  expected to be completed in November.  For additional information on upcoming improvements to FMHS you can go to our website and check out the link on the left hand side titled, “A new look at Fruita Monument”.

Go Wildcats!
