2020 AP Female Diversity Award



The College Board AP® has recognized FMHS with a
Computer Science Female Diversity Award. FMHS is one of 1,119 schools in the world that are closing the gender gap and expanding young women's access to computer science coursework in AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science according to College Board AP . FMHS earned this award by reaching 50% or higher female examinee representation in AP computer science courses in the 2019-20 school year. FMHS is one of 20 high schools in Colorado to receive this recognition.

2020 AP data celebrations:
In 2020, FMHS had the highest percent of students enrolled in AP courses (21%) of the traditional D51 high school, giving nearly one quarter of the student body the opportunity to earn college credit.
In 2020, 66.9% of FMHS students scored a 3 or higher on their AP Exam, meaning 2 out of 3 FMHS students scored high enough on their exam to qualify for college credit (400 of 599 exams earned a 3 or better)
In 2020, FMHS gave double (599) the number AP Exams than any other D51 high school.
Over the past six years, FMHS has consistently had more students take AP Exams and more students pass AP Exams than most of the other high schools in D51.
